Benjamin (Bill) Rogers, 53, of 808 East 1st Avenue #2, Salt Lake City, Utah died Friday July 8, 2011 at home following a long illness.
He was born July 1, 1959, son of the late Donna, Rogers, Norton and Benjamin (Kathryn) Rogers Sr. of Dudley, North Carolina.
He drove truck over the road for several years until the illness. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, fishing, and being with family and friends.
Surviving are three sister: Cassie (Harold) Davis of Des Moines, Iowa; Lorrie Hammon of Dudley, North Carolina; and Deena (Eric) Barnes of Evanston, Wyoming, two brothers: Nicholas Rogers of Des Moines, Iowa and Nyle Rogers of Florida, half sister Tracy Rogers, and half brother Brian Rogers of Raleigh, North Carolina, his step father Keith Norton of Layton, Utah; and two special aunts Shirley (Leston) Phipps of Battle Ground, Washington and Brenda Kindt of Salamanca, NY, several nieces and nephews and his special companion, his dog, Magnum.
He was predeceased by his mother Donna Norton and his uncle William (Bill) Kindt.
There will be no visitation to his request. In Lieu of flowers Memorials may be sent to their choosing. The Larken Mortuary Funeral Home of Salt Lake City is in charge. Thank you everyone for kindness and support in our time of sorrow.
